A Bit About Us

Working with your husband all day long may be most women's idea of hell and I've had 13 years of it, but there is a key to it and that's to keep busy. Tim and I do just that. We live and work in Harrogate, one of the most desirable places to live in the country ( and that's quoting Phil from Location, Location, Location. ) In 1994 we opened our 1st shop selling design led mens and womens wear(and that's where Tim spends most of his working week). Then in 2000 on the strength of our success we opened our 2nd shop selling design led cards and gifts (and that's where I spend most of my working week!!!!Getting the idea????)

Over the time running the gift business we've discovered fabulous fun and funky products from innovative designers and our product range has gone from strength to strength, as has our customer base, with people returning time and time again from near and far to get that extra special gift for that lucky someone.

Along with the business of running 2 busy shops our 2 boys keep us on our toes and as with most children they love going to parties and will let us know quickly and very loudly what exactly makes a great gift, so it was with this in mind that the idea for Georgie and Tom was born... A website that takes the hassle out of choosing the ideal gift from a selection picked from our best selling retail gifts.
